National Television and Radio Council announces competition for creation of new TV channel

Azerbaijan's National Television and Radio Council held a meeting on May 31.
Report informs that the participants discussed the current situation in television and radio broadcasting, as well as issues of genre diversity in republican television broadcasting.
According to the information, out of 11 existing national TV channels, two are sports, two are news, one is about culture, and the remaining six are of a broad genre.
At the meeting, it was considered suitable to establish a specialized educational and scientific-educational television channel. In connection with the opening of a television broadcasting channel, it was decided to announce a competition from June 7, 2021, to July 7, 2012.
