"Azerbaijan is among ten countries most contaminated with mines. Today there is a problem of clearing lands of mines. For the reconstruction of the liberated territories, in the first place, they must be cleared of mines," Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Baku-based Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), said at the webinar 'Second Karabakh War and mines.'
He said the failure to provide the maps of mined territories remains a problem: "The Armenian side holds these maps."
