If restrictions on greenhouse gas emissions are not imposed, the effects of global warming will increase, and abnormal heat will kill millions of people, Report informs, referring to a group of researchers from the Russian National Bureau of Economic Research.
As long as the greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere remain the same, heat waves will kill 73 out of 100,000 people in the world. In the hottest countries, the temperature can rise to 50 degrees; thus, this figure can reach 200.
Scorching weather is one of the most dangerous natural phenomena. A person can die not only from heatstroke but also from heart attacks and various diseases. The elderly and people suffering from chronic diseases pass away faster.
