The opening ceremony of a monument dedicated to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic had to be postponed indefinitely in Belgium’s Izegem due to a new wave of coronavirus infection, Report informs referring to foreign media.
The author of the monument is sculptor Peter Du Toit, who used the bluestone to create his works, which symbolize the “feeling of captivity.”
The memorial is in the author’s workshop, but it will be moved to Blauw Huys Castle, a park popular among local residents.
