TRACECA' s cargo transportation via Azerbaijan falls by 14%

In January-June this year, the Azerbaijani sector of the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) transported 21,687,100 tons of cargo, and the turnover amounted to 4,877,800,000 tons/km.

Report informs, referring to the State Statistics Committee, that this is a 13.7% and 8% decline from the same period last year.

According to the information, 12,590,700 tons (58.1%) were carried by road, 6,515,100 tons (30%) by rail, 2,581,300 tons (11.9%) by sea.

Transit goods made 20% or 4,332,000 tons of cargo transported through the corridor.
