Operations that used to take 72 hours in Baku Port are now carried out in 16-18 hours, said Aynur Samadova, head of the international cooperation department of the Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC, Report informs.
According to her, it results from investment in human resources:
"Port employees are constantly involved in training inside and outside the country. In general, the development of human resources is one of the most critical issues in Baku Port. The theory is insufficient for a port employee to know his/her field per world standards. Therefore, our employees are involved in internship programs in other ports worldwide, depending on their field."
