Marín: Uruguay's land policy is inaccessible

Uruguay's land policy is not sufficiently accessible, which greatly complicates access to land, stated Uruguay's Minister of Housing and Territorial Planning Tamara Paseyro Marín at WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.

According to her, one of the problems is related to the cost of construction, and the other to access to land.

"We must begin to plan in new ways, not only housing but also financing. To make better decisions, we need access to data. Public policy is extremely important for data production, monitoring, and evaluation. We must know whether what we plan actually works," the minister said.
