Karabakh and East Zangazur are turning into a 'living laboratory' for the energy model of the future, Araz Mammadzada, Advisor to the Deputy Chairman of Azerishiq JSC, said during the session under the theme Digital Management Architecture of Azerbaijan's Energy System held within the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.
Mammadzada mentioned that behind every modern and comfortable city lies a sustainable, silent, and responsibly operating energy system: "Today, the distribution network does more than deliver electricity. Through smart technologies and the integration of renewable energy, we are building the invisible backbone of future cities. With electric vehicle charging infrastructure, we are transforming the distribution network into a more reliable, efficient, and future-ready system."
He highlighted the special role of Karabakh and East Zangazur in this transformation: "These regions are becoming a living laboratory for the future energy model. Here, smart villages, green energy zones, digital management centers, renewable energy sources, and modern infrastructure come together to support the safe, comfortable, and sustainable return of families to their homes. Our mission is clear: to deliver reliability to every home and every street. The message of WUF13 is simple but powerful - sustainable urbanization begins with uninterrupted and intelligent energy infrastructure."
