Hajiyev: Settlements in Karabakh integrated into smart management system

Settlements in Azerbaijan's Karabakh are being integrated into a smart management system, Vahid Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, said during an event held within the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.

Hajiyev stressed that the focus is not only on building houses but also on how villages and towns are managed: "One of the systems we are applying today is the smart management system. Essentially, it is a Geographic Information System (GIS) platform that integrates the master plans of villages. It incorporates all newly created towns and villages into these master plans, allowing for more efficient planning, construction, and management. Practically all land plots, buildings, roads, utilities, energy, gas, water, and communication lines are mapped in this system. The platform enables real-time monitoring of construction and infrastructure, supports faster decision-making, and helps manage future development more effectively."
