China-made world's largest container ship delivered

The world's largest container ship, with a capacity of 24,000 TEU, was delivered on Wednesday in the coastal city of Shanghai, Report informs, citing CGTN.

It's the first of its kind made by China.

The ship is nearly 400 meters long and has a deck area of 24,000 square meters, equivalent to 3.5 standard soccer fields.

The depth of the cargo hold is 33.2 meters, which can carry 240,000 tonnes of cargo at one time.
