AZPROMO strengthens ecosystem supporting transformation of cities

Competitive suppliers, modern construction solutions, logistical potential, and private sector participation are essential for sustainable cities, Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), said at the "Smart and Sustainable City Projects in Azerbaijan" event held within the framework of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), Report informs.

According to him, the Agency strengthens the ecosystem supporting the transformation of cities within the country, as well as helping Azerbaijani companies access international markets: "As AZPROMO, we also actively participate in organizing and supporting international business platforms that promote investment opportunities in Azerbaijan. A vivid example of this was the COP29 event, where we co-hosted the Business, Investment and Philanthropy Climate Platform. This platform brought together more than 1,000 participants from over 70 countries and created a valuable impetus for climate-adapted investments, partnerships, and private sector engagement."

He noted that modern urban development projects do not exist in isolation from other sectors of the economy: "They form value chains, open new routes for trade, attract investments, and create new opportunities for business communities."
