Azerbaijan may receive new K5 generation KAMAZ trucks

The terms of the agreement between Russia’s KAMAZ PTC and Azerbaijan on the supply of new K5 generation KAMAZ trucks are under discussion, Rustam Shamsutdinov, deputy director-general of KAMAZ PTC, told Report.

“We have made our proposal through the Ganja plant. At the moment, the nuances are being discussed,” Shamsutdinov explained, adding that according to the initial agreement, KAMAZ will supply up to 200 vehicles to Azerbaijan (50 vehicles at the beginning stage).

“We are ready to deliver 50 vehicles now,” he concluded.

At the beginning of this year, KAMAZ brought to the market new models of K5 generation vehicles - a heavy tractor and two dump trucks.

The KAMAZ-65659 vehicle, along with the popular KAMAZ-54901 model, is a representative of the family of K5 generation vehicles. The main difference between the new heavy tractor and its predecessor is the 6x2 wheel configuration. Its advantages include a fuel tank increased to 650 liters, an interservice interval of up to 120,000 km, and a vehicle resource of up to 1.2 million kilometers.

Also, in 2021, KAMAZ brought to the market the dump trucks KAMAZ-65951 (8x4) and KAMAZ-65952 (6x6), designed for transportation of various bulk cargo. These are representatives of the heavy family of the K5 generation vehicles with a total weight of 50 tons and 41 tons, respectively.
