Azerbaijan launches e-Permit exchange with three countries

Azerbaijan has begun e-Permit exchanges with Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, Aytan Turabova, a representative of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, said at the 2nd Caspian International Forum on Transport, Transit and Logistics in Baku, Report informs.
The official highlighted that consistent work is being carried out within international organizations to digitalize the transport sector.
"Within the framework of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the electronic consignment note (e-CMR) system is being implemented. The project continues in cooperation with Türkiye and Russia," she said.
Turabova added that work is also underway within the Organization of Turkic States to implement the electronic permit (e-Permit) system: "Azerbaijan has already started exchanging electronic permits with Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. Negotiations are currently being held with Kazakhstan on the implementation of the e-Permit system."
