Azerbaijan details 11-month rail cargo traffic

In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan transported over 6.597 million tons of cargo by rail, valued at more than $3.01 billion, Report informs, citing the country’s State Customs Committee.
Compared to the same period in 2023, rail cargo traffic decreased by 4% in volume and 10.1% in value.
During these 11 months, more than 2.581 million tons of cargo were exported by rail, with a total value of $796.3 million. Additionally, 4.376 million tons of cargo were imported, valued at over $2.213 billion.
The value of exported cargo fell by 26.1%, and its volume decreased by 13.5%. Conversely, the value of imported cargo decreased by 2.5%, while its volume increased by 2.6%.
