Azerbaijan calls on regional cities to join SPECA Cities Forum

Azerbaijan has invited other cities in the region to join the SPECA Cities Forum to be held in Baku in September, Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan, said during an event held within the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.

According to him, the forum is designed as an open and evolving platform: "We invite additional cities and partners from the region to join this initiative and contribute to its future activities. Housing policy cannot be considered separately from climate adaptation and energy efficiency. Affordable housing is closely linked to climate adaptation, energy efficiency, urban mobility, digital management, and quality urban planning. Innovation and strong institutions are essential for building sustainable cities."
