Anaclaudia Rossbach on WUF13: Time to focus on housing solutions

The 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku will provide renewed confidence that, despite global challenges, decent housing can be achieved for everyone, Anaclaudia Rossbach, executive director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), said at the official opening ceremony of WUF13, Report informs.

She stated that WUF13 is an opportunity to accelerate implementation through practical action, partnerships, and investment: "It's time to focus on solutions."

Rossbach noted that the forum in Baku should send a "clear signal" to the upcoming high-level meeting of the UN General Assembly in July.

"We should move from acknowledging the housing crisis to advancing the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through concrete policies, investments, and actions. I hope we leave Baku with renewed confidence that, despite global challenges, decent housing can be accessible to everyone. I would also like to thank the government of Azerbaijan for hosting the 13th session of the World Urban Forum," she said.
