ADY says passenger traffic on BTK railway not currently planned

There is no concrete plan for passenger transportation on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway line, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Chairman Rovshan Rustamov said, Report informs.
He noted that the project is of strategic importance in terms of regional and international logistics and creates new opportunities not only for the participating countries, but also for all partners along the broader route connecting China and Europe.
Rustamov said that although passenger transportation was envisaged at the initial stage, there is currently no certain plan between the countries in this direction.
