Number of enterprises in Kalbajar increases sixfold

In 2024, the Barda district accounted for nearly a quarter of all enterprises in the Karabakh economic region, with 34 of the 145 companies based there.
According to Report, citing the State Statistics Committee, the number of enterprises in Barda district grew by 10% compared with 2023 and by 31% compared with 2020.
In Aghdam district, 32 enterprises were operating (39% more than a year earlier and 2.7 times more over the past five years). In Fuzuli there were 25 (+32%, +92%), in Aghjabadi – 18 (+13%, +38%), in Tartar – 16 (-6%, doubled), in Shusha – 6 (+20%, tripled), in Khojavand – 6 (+20%, doubled), in Khojaly – 2 (doubled), in Aghdara – 2 (none in previous years), and in Khankandi – 4 (none in previous years).
During the same period, 38 enterprises were active in the East Zangazur economic region, an increase of 52% compared with 2023 and 2.9 times more than five years ago. Of these, 11 were in Jabrayil (+57%, +3.7 times), 9 in Lachin (+13%, +80%), 7 in Gubadli (3.5 times more), 6 in Kalbajar (+50%, sixfold increase), and 5 in Zangilan (+25%, 2.5 times more).
