Baku accounts for 88% of industrial production in Azerbaijan

During January-October of this year, the volume of industrial goods and services in Baku amounted to 64.4 billion manats ($37.9 billion), reaching 87.9% of industrial production in the country, Report informs, citing the Baku City Statistics Department.

A total of 86% of industrial output is in mining, 12.2% in processing, 1.4% in electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply, and 0.4% in water supply, waste treatment, and processing sectors.

The share of the non-state sector in the industry was 90.9%. The share of industrial products in the total volume of production was 95.3%, and the provision of industrial services was 4.7%.

Most of the products were sent to consumers, taking into account the stocks created in previous periods, there was a stock of finished products of 516.3 million manats ($303.7 billion) in the warehouses of industrial enterprises as of November 1, 2022. In the warehouses of industrial enterprises, there were other products of 54.4 million manats ($32 billion), which were purchased from other enterprises and intended for sale.
