Azerbaijan's non-oil industry grows by nearly 5%

From January to August 2025, industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan produced goods worth 42 billion manats ($24.7 billion), marking a 1.2% decrease compared to the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
Production in the oil and gas sector declined by 2.1%, while the non-oil and gas sector grew by 4.8%.
The structure of industrial output was as follows:

61.2% from the mining sector

32.3% from the manufacturing sector

5.5% from electricity, gas, and steam production and distribution
-
1% from water supply, waste treatment, and recycling
In the mining sector, commercial oil production dropped by 4.7%, while commercial gas production rose by 2.8%.
The manufacturing sector showed mixed performance. Notable increases were recorded in:

Wood processing and wood products (+85.6%)

Textile industry (+29%)

Food production (+10.8%)

Chemical industry (+8.4%)

Tobacco products (+8%)

Rubber and plastic goods (+6.1%)

At the same time, several industries experienced declines:

Meanwhile, output in electricity, gas, and steam supply rose by 1.6%, and water supply, waste treatment, and recycling increased by 4.4%.
