Uzbek minister: Opening ceremony of 3rd CIS Games in Ganja was spectacular

Uzbekistan"s Minister of Youth Policy and Sports Adkham Ikramov praised the high level of sports infrastructure in the seven Azerbaijani cities hosting the 3rd CIS Games.

Report's correspondent in Ganja notes that the Uzbek minister shared his remarks with journalists, congratulating Azerbaijan on behalf of Uzbekistan"s sports community.

"I would like to highlight that the opening ceremony held yesterday in Ganja and attended by President Ilham Aliyev, was truly spectacular. We witnessed the high-quality sports infrastructure in the seven cities hosting the competitions. The preparation of these facilities was personally overseen by President Ilham Aliyev, who also took part in the opening ceremonies of the respective venues. This is particularly impressive, as the CIS Games are not centered in the capital Baku, but spread across the regions," Ikramov said.

The 3rd CIS Games will conclude on October 8, with 1,624 athletes from 13 countries participating.
