Memo with European Aquatics to support sports in Azerbaijan

The Strategic Cooperation Memorandum on the Development of Swimming holds great importance not only for Europe but also for Azerbaijan, President of the European Aquatics (LEN), Antonio Silva, said during a press briefing following the signing ceremony of the memorandum, Report informs.

He affirmed their commitment to supporting the development of swimming in Azerbaijan: "This is not only important for Europe-it is of great significance for Azerbaijan as well. We aim to mobilize all our resources for the advancement of swimming. This is vital not only in terms of education but also in research. Scientific studies are essential for progress. Grants are planned for both master"s and doctoral students, which will allow us to launch new initiatives."

The memorandum was signed today by Antonio Silva, President of the European Aquatics; Zaur Aliyev, President of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation; Fuad Hajiyev, Rector of the Azerbaijan Sports Academy; and Garay Garaybayli, Rector of the Azerbaijan Medical University.
