Lamiya Valiyeva says 'proud of having decently represented Azerbaijan'

“I’m very happy. I’m proud of having decently represented Azerbaijan and raised our flag high. I express my gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the created conditions and care,” para athlete Lamiya Valiyeva, who won gold and silver medals at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, told reporters on her return to Baku, Report informs.
The 19-year-old para athlete added that she will be preparing intensively for the Summer Paralympic Games, which will be held in Paris in 2024.
Lamiya Valiyeva won a gold medal in the women’s 400m race and a silver medal in the 100m race in Tokyo.
