An indoor ice rink will soon be put into operation in Baku, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov said in an interview with Report.
The minister noted that there are ice complexes in Gusar, Gabala and Nakhchivan: "Although these complexes are rather intended for entertainment and tourism, we have negotiated with the federation and the first steps have already been taken. Conditions for training camps will be created in these complexes."
The minister added that due to the lack of conditions, legionnaires train mainly abroad: "I would very much like these sports to develop here too. In the first months of next year, the indoor skating rink will be completely ready for operation."
