Elmir Charkazov: More medals will follow for Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan's national team will win more medals at the U17 World Wrestling Championships in Baku, Greco-Roman wrestler Elmir Charkazov told journalists, Report informs.

The 60 kg wrestler spoke about finishing the tournament with a bronze medal.

"I was fighting for the gold medal, but unfortunately, it did not work out. Thank God, I did not leave without a medal. I thank my coaches for this success. God willing, more medals will follow. We had two final bouts today. I cannot say why we were unable to win gold. I hope our other wrestlers will make us happy," Charkazov said.

Elmir Charkazov defeated Japan's Hinata Hanamori in the third-place bout to win the bronze medal.
