Azerbaijani kickboxers finish European Championship with 21 medals

The Azerbaijani national team showed a strong performance at the European Kickboxing Championship under WAKO for youth, juniors, and cadets, held from September 12 to 21 in Lido di Jesolo, Italy.

According to Report, the national team won a total of 5 gold, 6 silver, and 10 bronze medals, finishing 14th among 41 participating countries.

Sabina Giyasova, a member of the judging panel and a judge of republican and international categories, was promoted to international Category A and was chosen as the best female referee of the competition.

Eduard Mammadov, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation (AKF), congratulated all members of the national team and coaches on their achievements.

At the same time, he expressed gratitude to the honorary president of the AKF, Adil Aliyev, who played an invaluable role in the development of kickboxing, the federation president Orkhan Aliyev, as well as the Ministry of Youth and Sports for their comprehensive support of the federation at every competition.
