Over 1,500 explosives cleared in liberated areas in one week

Between September 8–14, a total of 11 anti-tank mines, 118 anti-personnel mines, and 1,406 pieces of unexploded ordnance were detected and neutralized in Azerbaijan's liberated territories, Report informs, citing the weekly update of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) regarding ongoing humanitarian demining operations.

During the specified period, 1,333.8 hectares of land were cleared of mines.

Demining operations are being conducted by ANAMA, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Border Service, and four private companies. The operations cover areas in Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Shusha, Khojavend, Lachin, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Gubadli, Zangilan districts, including newly liberated villages in the Gazakh district - Baghanis Ayrim, Ashaghi Askipara, Kheyrimli, and Gizilhajili.
