Tural Mammadov: No security problems recorded in WUF13 information systems

So far, no issues have been recorded regarding the information systems security of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku, Tural Mammadov, Deputy Head of the Main Department at the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of Azerbaijan, told Report.

According to him, WUF13 is one of the largest international events hosted in Azerbaijan:

"One of the main directions of this event is urbanization. What we want to highlight and demonstrate at our stand is how information security is ensured in smart cities, alongside digital transformation applied in new cities. We present various simulations. As the Special Communication and Information Security State Service, we visually show during these cyber simulations what kind of incidents may occur, how we prepare against them, and what cascading effects cyberattacks could cause in smart cities. We demonstrate this both on 3D models and on screens through 13 different simulation stories. As these simulations are carried out, cyberattacks on various objects and information systems are shown, and their consequences are explained."

Mammadov added that the information security of the event is ensured by the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security.

"This includes secure internet provision, auditing of information systems, and overall protection. From the preparation stage until now, all these security measures have been implemented by us together with the organizers and relevant institutions. If there are any cyberattacks or fake websites, we will regularly share information about them on our official website," the official noted.
