Farid Osmanov: Azerbaijani startups to tap Central Asia and CIS markets

The charter capital of the venture fund White Hill Capital amounts to $1 million, Farid Osmanov, Chairman of Azerbaijan's Innovation and Digital Development Agency, told journalists, Report informs.

"The fund's initial capital will be financed by the agency. In the first phase, an investment of $1 million is planned, and relevant negotiations are underway," Osmanov noted.

He added that the fund is among the largest venture funds operating in Central Asia.

"Through this fund, access to financial resources for Azerbaijan's startup ecosystem will become easier, and local startups will gain broader access to both domestic and Central Asian and CIS markets."

During the INMerge Innovation Summit 2025, a Founding Agreement was signed between Azerbaijan's Innovation and Digital Development Agency and White Hill Capital to establish a new venture financing company in Azerbaijan.
