Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center trains over 420 specialists

More than 420 cybersecurity specialists have been trained by the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (ACC) since its establishment, according to Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA).

Speaking to journalists during the center's seventh graduation ceremony, Osmanov said cybersecurity has become an increasingly important part of Azerbaijan's state policy as the country's digital transformation accelerates.

He noted that President Ilham Aliyev approved the 2026–2028 Action Plan for Accelerating Digital Development on February 27, with cybersecurity identified as one of its key implementation pillars. The plan focuses on strengthening the national cybersecurity ecosystem, enhancing cybersecurity activities, and developing human capital.

Osmanov said the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center has been operating in partnership with the Technion Institute for the past four years. More than 90% of the specialists trained by the center have secured employment.

This year, 60 new cybersecurity specialists are graduating and will enter the labor market. Five of the graduates have also been selected for a one-month unpaid internship at leading international digitalization and cybersecurity companies.

In addition to professional training, the center has expanded its cybersecurity awareness efforts, with more than 7,000 people participating in cyber awareness training programs during the reporting period.
