ADA vice-rector: ICPC finals in Baku to boost Azerbaijan's IT and education sectors

Hosting the finals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) in Baku will serve as a major driver for the development of Azerbaijan's IT industry and education sector, MP and ADA University Vice-Rector Fariz Ismayilzada said at a press conference dedicated to the ICPC 2025 finals.

Report quotes him as saying the participation of Azerbaijani students and local companies in the event will foster new contacts and opportunities.

"This event will bring great benefits to our country. The Olympiad will accelerate the growth not only of the IT sector but also of education. Students from top universities in the US, Europe, and Asia have come to Baku, and in the future, they will hold key positions in their countries. Their familiarization with Azerbaijan and its potential will open up new avenues for cooperation," Ismayilzada added.
