WHO declares coronavirus death rate

World Health Organization spokeswoman Maria Van Kerkhove stated that the death rate due to the COVID-19 outbreak is about 0.6%.
Report informs, citing RIA Novosti, the figures range from 0.6% to 1%.
These figures show that one in every 200 people infected with the coronavirus dies.
To date, more than 18.2 million people worldwide have been diagnosed with COVID-19. 693 thousand of them died, and 11,469 thousand recovered.
