WHO: Global COVID incidence grows for 7 consecutive weeks

The number of coronavirus cases in the world has been growing for seven weeks in a row, the COVID death rate has been increasing for a month, Report informs, citing the World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

“In January and February, there was a decrease in COVID-19 cases globally for six weeks in a row. We now have a seventh consecutive week of increasing incidence and four weeks of growing mortality,” he said.

The WHO Director-General stressed that COVID-19 is not common flu, and experts do not yet know the long-term effects of the virus on the human body, so it is necessary to continue to take precautions.
