Disease-free zones for animals being created in Karabakh, Eastern Zangazur

Procedures for establishing animal disease-free zones have begun in the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions, Zakiya Mustafayeva, deputy chairperson of the Food Safety Agency (FSA), said at the first Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2025), Report informs.
She stated that mass animal vaccination is underway as part of the process.
Recognition of this status will remove all barriers to the export of local livestock products and ensure the free transit of foreign goods through the country, she noted.
