Los Joroperos to add carnival colors to Azerbaijan Grand Prix

One of Tenerife's most famous carnival troupes, Los Joroperos, will be the star of the show at the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix this weekend, Report informs referring to Spanish media.

A group of fifteen participants will travel to Baku today to add rhythm and color to both Saturday's qualifying competitions and Sunday's race.

Their performance is expected to be one of the highlights of the weekend off the track, bringing the spirit of the Santa Cruz Carnival to an event that will be watched by millions of spectators around the world. In addition to the key shows of the weekend, the artists will also take part in preliminary events on the Baku City Circuit, one of the most spectacular and challenging on the F1 calendar, comparable only to the legendary circuit in Monaco.

Troup president Fernando Hernandez hopes that this adventure will also serve as a talisman for the Spanish racers.

"I hope we can bring good luck to Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz," he said.

Los Joroperos is one of the most famous and successful carnival troupes in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. This group has been participating in the carnival since 1983 and has established itself as one of the leading in the genre of comparsa - an ensemble combining music, dance and theatrical elements.
