"There is a potential for cooperation in the South Caucasus outside the region - with Central Asia and China," Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani said at a panel on "South Caucasus: New Opportunities for Regional Peace and Cooperation" at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
He stressed that there are already practical examples of such cooperation:
"A new terminal was recently opened in Batumi. This project resulted from excellent cooperation between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, and the United States. There are many such potential projects, and they can be developed. One of the projects is to connect our region with Europe by laying submarine power lines in the Black Sea."
