Turhan Dilmac: OTS has potential to become one of region's leading organizations

In a context of global instability, the unity and solidarity of the Turkic world are particularly important, Turhan Dilmac, head of department at the Center for Strategic Studies at the Turkish Foreign Ministry, said at the conference "The Organization of Turkic States as a Regional Player in the Context of Global Uncertainty," Report informs.

Report quotes Dilmac as saying the OTS has accomplished significant work since its founding and now has even greater potential to strengthen its role as a major regional organization.

"What we have achieved within the OTS is impressive, but it is not enough. As the title of today's conference reflects, we truly live in an era of global uncertainty. In such times, the unity of the Turkic states is particularly important. We are already seeing tangible results in the strengthening of our sovereignty during this period," he noted.

Dilmac emphasized that the OTS countries demonstrated unity during the Second Karabakh War.

"At that time, I was in Astana, at the embassy, and I personally witnessed how Azerbaijan's victory changed perceptions in Kazakh society. This war demonstrated the vital importance of supporting fraternal states. If we can continue to work together, our achievements will be even greater," he added.
