Azerbaijan is just one step away from concluding a peace treaty with Yerevan, but one obstacle remains - Armenia"s constitution, Siyavush Novruzov, Chair of the Milli Majlis Committee on Regional Issues, said during a parliamentary conference dedicated to State Sovereignty Day, held as part of the Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty.
Report quotes Novruzov as saying Armenia once took a regressive step by enshrining territorial claims against Azerbaijan in its constitution, and this now stands as the main impediment to peace.
"Removing this provision is the key condition for achieving peace," Novruzov emphasized.
