OTS identifies space cooperation as a priority area

The leaders of the Organization of Turkic States consider the development of cooperation in the field of space activities to be a priority, as stated in the Turkistan Declaration adopted today following the informal OTS summit, according to Report's correspondent in Turkistan.
"We recognize the growing importance of cooperation in the field of space activities and identify it as one of the priority areas of interaction among OTS member states through joint initiatives aimed at strengthening technological partnerships, developing scientific and human resources potential, and deepening cooperation and integration among OTS member states," the document states.
In addition, the summit participants welcomed the ongoing joint OTS project on the development and ground testing of the CubeSat-12U nanosatellite-class scientific spacecraft, viewing it as an example of effective multilateral cooperation.
