Number of foreigners with permanent residence permits in Azerbaijan revealed

Chairman of the State Migration Service (SMS) Vusal Huseynov said at a press conference on the agency's activities in 2021 that the number of foreigners with permanent residence permits in Azerbaijan increased by 43.6% last year, Report informs.
According to him, 2,397 people received permanent residence permits last year:
"The majority of those allowed were Georgian citizens. As for work permits, this figure was 7,575 last year, rising 43.2%. Preference to foreigners is given in construction work in Karabakh."
