Ministry official: Digital skills to be key to human capital development

Digital skills will play a central role in developing human capital in Azerbaijan, Arzu Naghiyeva, Deputy Department Head at the Ministry of Economy, said during the Youth-Led Climate Forum held as part of Baku Climate Action Week 2025 (BCAW2025), Report informs.

She noted that the Ministry of Economy continues to analyze labor market needs and develop new government-funded education programs as part of the cooperation with international organizations. Currently, around 90% of placements in these programs are state-funded-an increase of 50% compared to 2020.

"Education is the foundation of any transformation. By equipping young people with modern skills and fostering an ethical approach to technology, we can turn digital transformation into a driving force for sustainable development, fairness, and innovation," Naghiyeva emphasized.
