IAEA monitors radiological safety work at Formula 1 in Baku

Specialists from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have visited the Baku City Circuit and Baku Crystal Hall, where the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held, and monitored radiological safety work on the territory, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The IAEA Department of Nuclear Safety and Security, together with the State Agency for Regulation of Nuclear and Radiological Activity of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations, conducted training on nuclear safety of large public events.
The purpose of the training is to support nuclear and radiation safety during mass events, and to improve the theoretical knowledge of employees of the relevant structures.
