Georgia involved in border security talks with Azerbaijan

The State Security Service of Georgia has taken appropriate measures to prevent provocations and stabilize the situation on the border with Azerbaijan, said the annual report of the SSS, Report’s local bureau informs.
According to the report, the SSS contributes to the work of the Commission on delimitation and demarcation of the Azerbaijani and Georgian state border. “This is a legitimate format for resolving the issue between the two countries. Relevant recommendations were introduced to the government agencies involved in the negotiation process to minimize the threats,” says the report.
Moreover, regional offices of the SSS, in coordination with the relevant agencies, always monitor the situation in the border area, and provide appropriate operational support.
