FM: Azerbaijan following situation in Afghanistan with concern

Sustainable peace in Afghanistan remains a pressing topic, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at the 25th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Ashgabat, Report informs.
The minister noted that Azerbaijan is following the situation in Afghanistan with great concern: “Security and stability in Afghanistan are closely linked with the general security in the region. The sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of Afghanistan’s borders should be ensured, it is necessary to create conditions for political transformation in order to ensure peaceful coexistence of its ethnically diverse population.”
