Work underway to reschedule Elina Valtonen's visit to Azerbaijan – UPDATED

Efforts are currently underway to coordinate new dates for the Finnish Foreign Minister's visit to Azerbaijan.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aykhan Hajizada, told Report that the Azerbaijan visit of Elina Valtonen, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Finland's Foreign Minister, was originally planned to begin on October 13.

"However, the visit was postponed after President Ilham Aliyev was invited to the Middle East Peace Summit," he added.

The visit of the OSCE Chair-in-Office and Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen to Azerbaijan has been postponed, an informed source told Report.

Elina Valtonen's visit to Azerbaijan was planned as part of her regional tour of the South Caucasus, scheduled for October 13–15.

The OSCE Chair-in-Office visited Armenia on October 14, and will travel to Georgia tomorrow.
