Deputy minister: Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan co-op developing very dynamically

Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan is developing very dynamically. The countries intend to increase the volume of mutual trade up to $1 billion, Roman Vasilenko, Kazakh deputy foreign minister, told Report in Astana.

"Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan have fraternal relations and, indeed, such intensity and closeness of contacts can be noted not with many countries," the deputy minister said.

"Last year, the president of Kazakhstan visited Azerbaijan, and we see that relations between the two countries are developing very dynamically," the deputy minister said.

According to Vasilenko, in the first half of this year, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan increased by almost 50% and reached about $300 million.

"The task set by the heads of our states is to bring the trade turnover to $1 billion," he added.
