Deputy FM of Azerbaijan takes part in int'l forum in Croatia

Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov took part in the international event "Dubrovnik Forum - Guiding Change", which was held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

As part of the visit, the deputy foreign minister took part in a panel discussion of the forum "Connecting Europe and Asia: Paths to Partnership and Prosperity."

In his speech, he noted the strategic importance of strengthening political and economic ties between Europe and Asia in terms of international stability and sustainable development, and also touched upon the growing role of Azerbaijan as a reliable partner and a sustainable transport and logistics corridor between the two continents.

Mammadov emphasized that Azerbaijan makes a significant contribution to interregional integration through multilateral projects initiated in the fields of transport, energy and communications, and plays a strategic connecting role in the Eurasian space.

As part of the forum, the deputy foreign minister met with the head of the PRC delegation, Special Representative for European Affairs Lu Shaye.

During the meeting, the strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and China, high-level visits carried out in recent years within this framework, and signed cooperation documents were discussed.

In addition, during the meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand Russ Jalichandra, an exchange of views took place on the current state and prospects for expanding bilateral relations between Baku and Bangkok.

The issues of developing cooperation in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as mutual support on multilateral platforms were discussed.
