Caleb Orr: US seeks continued resource cooperation with Azerbaijan

The US remains willing to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan in the production and export of natural resources.

Report informs that Caleb Orr, Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Economic, Energy and Business Affairs of the United States, said this while speaking at the opening of the Baku Energy Week.

"For three decades, the United States and Azerbaijan have built a long-term partnership. Azerbaijan is a very important partner in the region in advancing energy security. Azerbaijan is also the cradle of the modern oil industry. The Contract of the Century, which we signed 30 years ago, changed the situation in all oil and gas markets as a whole and served many generations. The agreement on our strategic partnership was signed in Baku by Vice President Vance and Azerbaijani President Aliyev. The United States remains willing to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan in the production and export of natural resources," he said.
