Baku and Brasilia hold fifth round of political consultations

The fifth round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Brazil took place in Brasilia, Report informs, citing the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The consultations were held during a visit by an Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov. The Brazilian side was headed by Maria Laura da Rocha, Secretary-General of Foreign Affairs.

During the talks, both sides discussed key issues on the bilateral, regional, and global agenda. Officials expressed satisfaction with the fact that Azerbaijan and Brazil have maintained diplomatic relations for over three decades.

Tourism, education, and inter-parliamentary cooperation were highlighted as priority areas for collaboration between the two countries.

Following the consultations, Elnur Mammadov also held bilateral talks with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira.
