Azerbaijani PM Ali Asadov meets PM of Northern Cyprus

Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov has met with Northern Cyprus Prime Minister Unal Ustel, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers.

The meeting discussed the current state and future prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus across various fields.

The sides hailed the intensity of high‑level reciprocal visits, as well as cooperation between parliaments and political parties.

They also highlighted the importance of expanding ties in humanitarian spheres, particularly culture and tourism.

Cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was highlighted, with recognition of Northern Cyprus's contributions as an observer member.

The significance of the meeting of Heads of Government/Vice Presidents of OTS member states in Baku was also noted. The event was underlined as important for strengthening intergovernmental coordination and advancing the common agenda in priority areas set by state leaders.
